Jessica Deeb
Knowing her love for pregnancy and all things baby, Jessica Deeb started her nursing career in obstetrics. In addition to completing her Master of Science in Women's Health Nursing, Jessica is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator. From working at the bedside, to management, to quality and back again to direct patient care, seeing all aspects of healthcare has shaped Jessica’s ability to support expectant and new families. Jessica also spends several hours volunteering each month in her community. But most important to her, is her role as a wife to her ever patient husband and a mom to her four children.
Gladys Vallespir-Ellett
As a nurse with many hats, Gladys Vallespir-Ellett has worked at the bedside, office, in management and now as the coordinator of lactation services in a New York City academic medical center. Her love for the expectant family and new parents has driven her to create many new parent education programs to meet their needs. An active member of Lamaze International, Gladys is a certified childbirth educator and and international board certified lactation consultant. Unsure of what she wants to be when she grows up, Gladys is a pursuing a doctorate in nursing science and research, adding to her nursing, theater, and higher education degrees. She is currently recruiting for her doctoral research study that focuses on men’s experience of becoming a first time father during their partner’s pregnancy. Standing behind her this whole way, is an all male cheering section; husband, two sons, and yes even her dog is a boy! She and her family find balance working in the city and lake life in Lake George.
